Monument Valley

Monument Valley is not actually a valley, instead its a series of rock formations carved out of the Colorado Plateau. Among its best known features are East Mitten, West Mitten the North Window and the three sisters.

The valley lies in the Navajo Nation Reservation in South East Utah and is sacred for them.

Great Salt Lake, Utah

The great salt lakes is 75miles long and 35miles wide, there are no outlets, but streams and rivers bring water every day, evaporation leaves salts deposits. The saline concentration is five times that of the ocean and no fish can survive.

Great Salt Lake lends its name to Salt Lake City, originally named “Great Salt Lake City” by then-President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormon or LDS Church) Brigham Young, who led a group of Mormon Pioneers to the Salt Lake Valley southeast of the lake on July 24, 1847.
